Not just a wedding photographer…

Choosing your wedding photographer is about so much more than liking their photographs. They’ll be there for some of the most personal, emotional and completely chaotic moments of your day, so it matters that you feel comfortable with the person behind the camera too..

Every photographer works differently. Some take a lot of control, others prefer to stay almost completely in the background. My approach sits somewhere in between — giving you space to enjoy your wedding naturally, while knowing when to step in, offer a little guidance or help things along when you need me.

Keep reading and you’ll get a feel for how I work, what it’s like to have me there on the day, and hopefully whether I feel like the right photographer for you.

RELAXED, FRIENDLY & THERE WHEN YOU NEED ME

I’m naturally pretty relaxed and down to earth, and that’s exactly how I want you to feel around me too. I’m not there to take over your wedding or turn it into one long photoshoot, but I’m also not afraid to step in when you need a little direction, help keep things moving or gather everyone together when the moment calls for it.

I take the time to get to know you before the day, so when your wedding arrives I already understand what matters to you, who your important people are and the kind of day you want to have. And if plans change — because weddings rarely run exactly to plan — I’m used to adapting quietly in the background without adding any extra stress.

THE EDIT

Modern Photography with a nostalgic feel

My editing is inspired by something I’ve always loved the look of old film. Friends was actually a big influence for me; I love the warmth, the true colours and that subtle grain that gives film such a comforting, nostalgic feel.

I bring that into my own work with a modern finish; natural skin tones, rich colour and plenty of detail, with a mix of documentary storytelling and a little editorial polish. I want your photographs to feel warm and full of character, while still looking like your wedding really did.

I also mix colour with black and white throughout a gallery, depending on what best suits the moment. Most of the time I work with natural light, but I’ll use flash when it adds something — whether that’s a little more drama, a stronger editorial feel or extra energy once the dance floor gets going.

DO I USE AI?

No. I personally select and edit every image by hand, with no input from AI. Your gallery is created entirely by me, from start to finish.

If everything you’ve read feels like the way you’d like your wedding to be photographed, then I think we could be a really lovely fit.

I work best with couples who want to enjoy their day properly — to laugh, celebrate, be present with the people they love and trust me to capture it all as it happens.

Having photographed over 100 weddings, I know what to look for, when to step in and when to simply let a moment happen. You don’t need to hand me an endless shot list or worry about what I might miss; getting to know you beforehand means I can photograph your day with the things and people that matter most to you in mind.

At the end of it all, I want you to have photographs that bring everything flooding back — not just how your wedding looked, but how much fun you had and how it felt to be there.

If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to hear all about your plans.
